Demo Blonde Monti Cigar Box Guitar

by Col on August 18, 2015

Hey people,
here today is look at my latest build the Blonde Monti

This Cigar Box Guitar has 3-strings, has a Monticristo box, a Red Grandis hardwood neck, 23 frets, enclosed tuners, grommits, string trees, and box corners, all in chrome, bone nut, bone and hardwood bridge, double Piezo pick-up with volume control, mother of pearl fret mark side inlays and handmade tail piece.

A closer look at the box.

below you can see the slotted neck that slides on and in that way hides the join between box and neck, you can also see my right boot print.

Here you can see the bridge, side profile of the handmade tail piece and the 70`s Hifi knob, used for the volume control.

The head stock has counter sunk enclosed tuners, a bone nut and chrome string trees.

The back of the head stock has my logo sticker and you can also see the lovely grain in the Red Grandis Hardwood neck, brought to life by oiling the neck, one day prior to final assembly.

With a closer look at the tail end, you can see the handmade tail piece, jack in-put and the strap button. I always glue a piece of hardwood onto the inside of the box, to screw into for the strap button, so that the side of box does not carry the weight of the guitar unaided.

The last photo is long look up from the tail end.

Finally, here is the demo video for this build, featuring my song Rock `N` Roll, take from my latest album, Punkabilly Blues, available to download for modest fee from this site.
