Demo The Antillas 3-String Cigar Box Guitar

by Col on August 27, 2017

Hi guys,
Here today is a look at my latest build.

This 3-String Cigar Box Guitar, has a Flor De Las Antillas wooden box with a Red Grandis, hard wood neck, with 23 frets, Mother of Pearl top fret mark inlays, enclosed tuners, box corners and sound hole grommets, all in an aged brass look, a bone nut and bridge, stained to look old, it has a double Piezo pick-up with volume control and a handmade, brass tail piece(aged).

Here is a closer look at the box.

In the photo below, you can see my boot print logo and the slotted neck, that slides on and hides the join.

Here you can see a side view of the bone bridge, volume control and handmade, aged brass tail piece.

This Cigar Box Guitar has a one piece through neck, made from Red Grandis hardwood, has 23 frets and Mother of Pearl, top fret mark inlays. No need for string trees, the shape of the neck, gives enough of a break angle.

The head stock has a bone nut and counter sink enclosed tuners.

The reverse of the head stock show the enclosed tuners and my logo sticker.

Below, a look at the tail end, with jack in-put, strap button and handmade aged brass tail piece.

The last photo is long look up from the tail end.

Finally here is a demo video with me playing the thing, featuring my song, Bankers Blues.

Many Thanks,

Hi Col,
I was just given this 3 string as a birthday present and couldn’t be more pleased. It’s a fantastic peice of work! Feels great, sounds great, plug it in and oh Yeah! Thanks for taking the time to craft this awesomeness!
