StumbleCol-Discography-Voodoo Rhythm

by Col on December 5, 2011

I am do the Discography thing and have done our latest album “Sour Mash” and have moved on to “Smutbots Room” our first album. Today track 6 “Voodoo Rhythm” is on the agenda.

This is a quirky little song, funny, but with a serious undertone, sometimes in life, you feel like you just can`t win, like the Gods are against you, like you are cursed!

Lyrics
I feel cursed,
don`t know what I`ve done to offend the Gods.
Karhma has got a great big stick,
and it`s got my name burned into it.
It`s not that I`ve got bad luck,
more like I`ve got no luck at all.
It`s not that I keep messin` up,
more like life pullin` the rug out from under me.

I hear distant drums,
smell the fires, that they dance around.
They got Voodoo Dolls,
the kind they use for sticking needles in.
Cut a piece of my hair,
buried it birds nest, under the root of a stump.
Now I feel cursed,
feel their Voodoo Rhythm, flow through me.

Oh Baby, now I feel cursed,
don`t know what I`ve done to offend the Gods.
Karhma has got a great big stick,
and it`s got my name burned into it.
Oh Baby, now I feel cursed, Oh Baby, now I feel cursed,
Oh Baby, now I feel cursed, Oh Baby, now I feel cursed,
Oh Baby, now I feel cursed, Oh Baby, now I feel cursed,
Oh Baby, now I feel cursed, Oh Baby, now I feel cursed,
Cur-ursed!
